In addition to designing a new hire handbook for general restaurant employees, we created and delivered a two-week development program, which included systems, operations, product and customer service training for new restaurant owners. Development of this program included frequent visits to various restaurant locations and participation in the actual operations. We learned everything from balancing the books, to operating the cash register, to cooking a perfectly delicious cheesesteak sandwich. The experience allowed us to incorporate real-world examples into the program. The handbook and training program are both used as effective selling tools for prospective franchisees.
